A good weekend.

So our weekend on Oahu was pretty good. Pretty hectic, but overall it was great.

First thing after we got the car we went straight to Denny’s for some good loving breakfast. Awkwardly though Short Stack was constantly being adorned by our waitress. Went as far as her saying, “you have girlfriend? She have job? I have job, good house, small house, but good house, I get car. I lots of fun.” Yea, she was asian. Pretty hardcore too. But she was nice.

We hit the Waikiki Aquarium right after. That was actually pretty cool. I thought it was better than the zoo. Like a 100x’s better. Took some pretty good pictures. Short Stack got a pretty good kick out of the Clown fish and the Hawaiian monk seals. He had to be the loudest kid there though. He was so excited by everything. Strangely enough Preston and I found out tonight that Levi and Tashi was there at the same time. Yet some how we didn’t bump into them. I mean they were there at the same EXACT time, yet we didn’t bump into them.

We spent most of the time driving and getting out Christmas shopping done at the same time. Which I am proud to say we finished buying presents for everyone!

The car show was tons of fun too. Short Stack was so excited, but I think he was the happiest because he didn’t have to do the walking. He practically sat in his stroller the whole time and only came out for autographs and pictures. He met a girl there, KT-SO, that stole his heart. He was blushing like nobody’s business and incredibly shy. But he got her autograph and took a picture of her. He couldn’t help but carry the biggest smile on his face being next to her, but way too shy to hug her. He saw some of his favorite cars and got a few gifts there. But towards the end of the night he some how fell asleep with all the noise, music, cars, and screaming women.

The next day we spent running between stores. Since Short Stack is so fickle as to what he wants and it’s always changing we opted to take him to Toys R’ Us, Toys N’ Joys, and K.B. Toys to pick out all his presents. It was to better ensure he got everything he wanted. Plus passing by things that caught his eye, but opted to let Santa get gave us some good ideas. In the end he got Legos, a few new cars, a power ranger robot thing, and some new clothes.

When all was said and done Short Stack really shown me how much he really loves traveling. His favorite part was catching the flight to and from Oahu. This was the first time that he got his own seat and was totally excited about watching us take off and looking out the window. He is now becoming anxious for when we take off to New York. Can’t blame him I’m stoked about it too and can’t wait to go play in the snow.

As for his birthday in 2 days it won’t be anything big. But I plan on hanging out at Dad’s house and cooking some food and having a birthday cake for him. Short Stack will be with his dad this year. I will be getting him back first thing this Sunday so if you want to come and have some cake with him just give me a ring.

Now for the good stuff. Pictures!

Slowly, but surely.

I am finally getting around to getting this blog up. Not really completely, but hey it’s something. On that note I hate the header. It was something random I threw together. Though it seems more like threw up together.

As for Short Stack his 4th birthday is right around the corner. So scary! Time is just going by way too quickly.  Sadly, we won’t be throwing a birthday party for him this year. Things have been pretty crazy around here and with his cousin’s birthday falling so close I don’t want to steal the “thunder.” lol. But he isn’t too bothered by the no party thing. In fact I don’t think he really cares.

But Preston and I will be doing something for him. This weekend we are taking Short Stack to Oahu. So if you are trying to find us that is where we will be. We took him to Oahu last year too and he seemed to like it. But this time around he seems a lot more anxious and excited about it. Our itinerary follows the lines of going to the Aquarium and Hot Import Nights and loads of shopping at Toys R’ Us and K.B. Toys.

As for school he has been progressing pretty well. Last week CDC had their annual Stone Soup celebration. Pretty much Thanksgiving celebration. But I have to come to learn they don’t actually celebrate the technical holidays just to avoid the parents who follow different beliefs at home. The kids sang  a song, I think it was “I’m glad I’m not a turkey.” I did take a video of it and when I get the chance I’ll post it on here. Hopefully.

Short Stack has been doing pretty well in writing his letters. He can write his name pretty well now. He tends to write his name backwards and forwards. So instead of being 3 letter name it’s 6 letters. I’m pretty sure he gets that from me. :) He loves music and dancing. It’s practically an everyday thing for him to sing random songs. Might I add he’s almost a pro at recognizing songs from movies and vice versa.

But on a note about this blog. I am planning on keeping this updated often. I’ve been meaning to do this since he was born, but if you are reading this then you know I’m practically a pro-procrastinator. But since I have started I don’t plan on stopping.

It’s getting pretty late and he’s already sleeping.
